The City of Albemarle's Downtown Catalyst Grant Program will open for applications on October 1, 2026, and close on October 14. The City is once again offering this award-winning grant program, designed to assist businesses in the downtown Municipal Service District (MSD). An individual business or property owner in the MSD may receive up to $50,000 in grant funds to make facade and/or building stabilization improvements, as well as internal improvements including furniture, fixtures, and equipment used in the business. The grant covers up to 50% of eligible project costs, with the applicant responsible for the remaining balance. Please note that the program is not retroactive. If your application is approved, work cannot begin until a Funding Agreement is in effect. Any work started before that point would not be eligible for funding. We will host a program overview and live Q&A session on Microsoft Teams on Friday, October 2 at 10:00 AM. The items below take the longest to gather, so we encourage you to start now: - Three written estimates from licensed contractors for all proposed project work - Two quotes from dealers for furniture, fixtures, or equipment, if applicable If yo``u` ar`e a te`nant and you have a project in mind that you think would be a good fit for the Catalyst Grant`, we encourage you to start that conversation with your landlord now. The application will require your property owner to sign off on the project. A few examples of completed Catalyst Grant projects: - Uwharrie Brewing used their grant to add a canning operation, expanding their ability to package and distribute their beer. - Make It Personal was awarded a grant last year for a new embroidery machine, a t-shirt kiosk, and a storefront mural. - Albemarle Sweet Shop used their grant toward new baking equipment to support wholesale distribution. Additional details that may be helpful: - The property must be located within the Downtown Albemarle Municipal Service District. The lineup 12:00 PM | Gates open Stanly County native and former farm hand, Evan Marker kicks things off as the gates open. 12:30 PM | Fireside Chat Join Ashton Thompson, our Chief Operating Officer, with Aaron Newton, Crop Production Manager, and Kyle Gaddas, Executive Chef, for an inside look at how the farm and kitchen work together, from the soil to the plate to the table we share. 1:30 PM | Admiral Radio South Carolina folk and Americana duo Admiral Radio brings warm harmonies and acoustic storytelling. 2:15 PM | Uncaged Uncaged closes out the day with a high-energy Zac Brown Band tribute blending country, Southern rock, and big harmonies. More to explore Community Village: Shop local makers, and stop by the Juneberry Ridge tent for honey, eggs, and merch. Our mission is to support adults with physical and mental impairments while offering respite care to their families. Through personalized care and engaging therapeutic activities, we aim to improve the quality of life for those in need within Stanly County and surrounding areas. Our goal is help adults age in place using the resources we have available in the community. |
What We Offer: - Healthcare monitoring by a nurse - Therapeutic activities and personal care services - A beauty shop, shower room, walking trail, and raised bed gardens for community engagement - A warm, welcoming space to help individuals stay connected with their community - Nutritious meals, including breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack Hours of Service: We will be open Monday through Friday from 6:45 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. to accommodate the needs of participants and their families. Help US Stock The Toy Box!The Little Friends program is designed to help the smallest family members of our hospice patients.
Our staff are using a teddy bear to give a little comfort despite the illnesses their loved ones are experiencing. The bear is a simple reminder that they can find love and support everywhere. In addition to the teddy bear, Tillery Compassionate Care will have other items for staff to give children when they are having a difficult day. Staff will have coloring books, crayons, small books, and more available to give to children on patient visits. 𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝗨𝗦 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗼𝘆 𝗕𝗼𝘅!
