​How the Chamber Supports Your Event

To ensure your milestone celebration is a success, the Stanly County Chamber team provides the following support:

• Official Invitations: We invite local city and county officials, the mayor’s office, the Chamber Board of Directors, and our Chamber Ambassadors to celebrate with you.
  
• Community Promotion: We promote your ribbon cutting to the local business community through our member email newsletters, the Stanly Chamber website event calendar, and our active social media channels.
  
• Local Business Referrals: We connect you with trusted Chamber members for essential event services, including professional photography, catering, decorations, and more.
  
• The Essentials: We bring the official giant scissors and the ribbon straight to your location for the big moment.
  

What to Expect: Order of the Ceremony

A standard ribbon cutting ceremony is brief and celebratory, lasting approximately 5 to 10 minutes. Here is how we typically structure the big moment:

• Chamber Welcome: A representative from the Stanly County Chamber will kick off the ceremony with a brief welcome and opening remarks.
• Special Guest Remarks: Next, we will invite an attending city or county official (such as the Mayor or a City Council member, or Community Leader) to say a few words of congratulations.
• Your Time to Shine: Finally, the floor is yours! Take a few moments to talk to the crowd, introduce your team, and share what makes your business or organization unique. This is your time to celebrate your hard work and achievement.
• Photos & The Big Cut: We will gather everyone together to stage group photos, then lead the crowd in a countdown for the official ribbon cutting!

Note: The Chamber team video's the event and takes still photos of the ceremony for you to use, but feel free to hire a professional photographer if you choose!

When Can You Schedule an Event?

To make sure we can get city leaders and community members to your event, we host ribbon cuttings during these specific times (subject to availability):
Ribbon cuttings can be scheduled within these time slots:
• Tuesdays at 11 am, 11:30 am or 4 pm *subject to availability
• Fridays at 11 am *subject to availability

2. ​Step 2: Submit Automatically. Once you have completed all the required fields, simply click the submit button at the bottom of the page. Your request will be sent directly to our team instantly.
3. Step 3: Work with the Chamber. After your form is submitted, a member of the Chamber team will review your request, reach out to finalize your official confirmation, and help you get ready to cut the ribbon!

​What a great morning we had in Stanfield, NC! It was truly Double the Fun as we hosted our Cowgirls, Coffee & Connections event for Women in Business, immediately followed by a special Ribbon Cutting Ceremony.
​The morning kicked off with powerful networking, shopping, and learning at the gorgeous new mobile boutique, Cowgirl Society & Co. Attendees enjoyed connecting over premium coffee and fresh donuts while building their network and their wardrobe! A huge thank you to Angela Kluttz—Chamber Leadership Board Member and owner of Kluttz Tire & Service Center, Kluttz Wholesale Tire, Inc., and now Cowgirl Society & Co.—who shared insights and hosted us.
​Right after the meeting, the celebration continued with a wonderful Ribbon Cutting ceremony to officially welcome and celebrate Cowgirl Society & Co. We loved seeing everyone stick around to show their support for this great local business!

Stanly Adult Day Care Center

Saturday, August 17, 2025 was an incredibly inspiring day! We were honored to stand with Sandy Carelock, whose unwavering vision and faith brought the Stanly Adult Care Center to life. Yesterday's ribbon-cutting ceremony celebration was a testament to what a community can achieve when it works together. We heard from local leaders, City of Albemarle Mayor Ronnie Michaels and Senator Carl Ford. A huge congratulations to Sandy and her team on creating a cornerstone of compassionate care for our county!

​The Chamber had an exciting morning Thursday, June 26th, celebrating the Grand Opening of Running Creek by Century Communities - The Carolinas! The Stanly County Chamber of Commerce marked the occasion with a ceremonial ribbon cutting at 21023 Running Creek Church Road and Austin Rd, Locust, NC. Guests had the opportunity to tour the impressive Red Cedar model, enjoy delightful refreshments, and participate in exciting giveaways. Kinetic Ground Breaking

May 9, 2025 marked a significant step forward for digital access in Stanly County! The Chamber of Commerce was proud to celebrate with Go Kinetic Home Carolinas as they broke ground on bringing high-speed fiber internet to Millingport, New London, and Richfield! The event held at the Thomas Family Corn Maze (NC Hwy 73, Millingport) featured remarks from Kinetic's Zack Medlin and President Stacy Hale, Stanly County Manager Andy Lucas, City of Albemarle Mayor Pro Tem Martha Sue Hall, Stanly Chamber President/CEO Erica Church, and Chamber Board Chair James Baucom. The Kinetic team provided interesting demonstrations, and Chamber Ambassadors and community members joined in for the groundbreaking. Chick-fil-A refreshments fueled the fun.
