Our First Annual Moravian Chicken Pie Fundraiser! As we await final approval on our state certification, our team continues preparing to open our doors and begin serving local families. Because our focus is on completing this important process, we decided not to hold our annual Fashion Show fundraiser this year. Instead, we’re bringing something new — and delicious — to the table! Registration Open for Albemarle Christmas Parade Entries

ALBEMARLE, NC – The 2025 Albemarle Christmas Parade will be here soon, and parade organizers are calling on local businesses, organizations, and community groups to register their entries and be part of this cherished holiday tradition. This year’s parade will take place on Saturday, December 13, at 4 p.m. in downtown Albemarle. As always, the Albemarle Christmas Parade will feature floats, music, candy, and plenty of holiday spirit.
Participating in the Albemarle Christmas Parade offers a unique opportunity to showcase your organization to thousands of residents and visitors. Last year, 2,600 spectators lined the parade route, making it a perfect event to increase visibility and spread holiday cheer. Registering a Christmas Parade entry is easy. Simply visit www.albemarlenc.gov/christmas to secure your spot. Early registration closes on November 24. Homes of Hope to Celebrate 20th Anniversary Annual Campaign Banquet

Homes of Hope is proud to announce its 20th Anniversary Annual Campaign Banquet, a milestone event celebrating two decades of service and impact in the community. The banquet will take place on Thursday, November 6, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Anderson Grove Baptist Church.
This year’s theme, “Twenty Years of Hope,” highlights the organization’s ongoing mission to provide shelter, support, and pathways to stability for individuals and families in need. The evening will feature dinner, guest speakers, and stories that reflect the lives changed through the work of Homes of Hope. “Reaching 20 years is a meaningful achievement,” said Tiera McDonald, Executive Director of Homes of Hope. “This banquet is both a celebration of what has been accomplished and a call to continue building hope for the future.” Community members, partners, and supporters are invited to attend this special evening. We are excited to introduce you to Stanly Adult Care Center, Inc., a new nonprofit facility in Albemarle, NC that is dedicated to providing high-quality adult day health services.
Our mission is to support adults with physical and mental impairments while offering respite care to their families. Through personalized care and engaging therapeutic activities, we aim to improve the quality of life for those in need within Stanly County and surrounding areas. Our goal is help adults age in place using the resources we have available in the community. |
What We Offer: - Healthcare monitoring by a nurse - Therapeutic activities and personal care services - A beauty shop, shower room, walking trail, and raised bed gardens for community engagement - A warm, welcoming space to help individuals stay connected with their community - Nutritious meals, including breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack Hours of Service: We will be open Monday through Friday from 6:45 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. to accommodate the needs of participants and their families. Although we’re still in the renovation phase we are already building a foundation of support for this important community resource. We are on track to open late Spring 2025. The Little Friends program is designed to help the smallest family members of our hospice patients.
Our staff are using a teddy bear to give a little comfort despite the illnesses their loved ones are experiencing. The bear is a simple reminder that they can find love and support everywhere. In addition to the teddy bear, Tillery Compassionate Care will have other items for staff to give children when they are having a difficult day. Staff will have coloring books, crayons, small books, and more available to give to children on patient visits. 𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝗨𝗦 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗼𝘆 𝗕𝗼𝘅!
