Kinetic Ground BreakingMay 9, 2025 marked a significant step forward for digital access in Stanly County! The Chamber of Commerce was proud to celebrate with Go Kinetic Home Carolinas as they broke ground on bringing high-speed fiber internet to Millingport, New London, and Richfield! The event held at the Thomas Family Corn Maze (NC Hwy 73, Millingport) featured remarks from Kinetic's Zack Medlin and President Stacy Hale, Stanly County Manager Andy Lucas, City of Albemarle Mayor Pro Tem Martha Sue Hall, Stanly Chamber President/CEO Erica Church, and Chamber Board Chair James Baucom. The Kinetic team provided interesting demonstrations, and Chamber Ambassadors and community members joined in for the groundbreaking. Chick-fil-A refreshments fueled the fun. It was a great morning celebrating this progress for Stanly County!
